meet, make, grow + share

Making

The benefits of making includes lowering stress and anxiety and promoting relaxation. Creating art & craft items triggers the release of dopamine and endorphins, natural mood enhancers. The act of creating requires mindfulness which can also help to quiet racing thoughts and improve concentration.

Mindful Art

Relaxed, mindful and meditative art activities like gentle painting, drawing, mandala painting, mosaic making, abstract collage. A relaxing and supportive environment with no pressure to create great works of art.

You can also bring along any art activity that you want to work on yourself, or simply choose to do some mindful colouring with some of the colouring sheets. Suitable for all, no artistic skill required.

Craft

Our weekly sessions are based on group work where we explore a wide range of crafts and working with textiles.

Some members work with found items to create ‘junkyard’ art, whilst others have produced everything from candles to lampshades. Working together, learning form one another and having fun.

Sewing

Our sewing group is a vibrant group where members, regardless of their skill level, come together to sew, share ideas, and engage in enriching conversations.

The group provides a platform for sewing enthusiasts to collaborate on projects, exchange sewing tips, acquire new skills, and nurture their creativity in an encouraging and supportive environment.
